Imagine an island with balmy waters, fine weather and about 80 beaches to choose from, and chances are you are thinking about Ibiza's Beaches. For fun in the sun you simply can not beat this popular island.
What makes these beaches so sought after by tourists from all over the world as well as those lucky enough to live on the island, is the interesting fact that you can reach any beach you like by car and within 30 minutes, no matter where you are on the island.
Unlike other coastal beaches, you do not have to put up with annoying children or noisy teens, you simply get going and find another beach to suit your mindset of the day. Because the beaches are so close to each other and easy to reach, people migrate to where they want to be constantly.
Many of the beaches avoid the parties and are kept for sleeping in the sun. Keep an eye out for deck chair boys that will not only bring you a lovely chair, but are more than willing to help you put on that mostly needed sunscreen or even deliver drinks to beat the sun with.
The weather on Ibiza simply never disappoints, but from time to time some strong winds may spoil your day on the beach. The solution? Drive to the other side of the Island where the wind should be much less of a problem. This might sound like an elaborate journey, but it only takes thirty minutes to reach the beach on the opposite side of this island.
If you are not a party animal that can go the distance - which on Ibiza's beaches means parties that simply do not end for days at end, then avoid the peak summer times. But even during these crazy times, you are certain to find others just like you hiding away under umbrellas on quiet beaches - away from the party crowds.
