Oh no! John and Edward bid a fond farewell to this year’s X Factor with their best performa ….. wait a minute whats that? Simon has put it to the public vote and it’s Lucie Jones going home and the boys are safe !
A night of high tension for all you Jedward fan’s out there. Firstly it was a shock to see the boys in the bottom two and alongside the lovely Lucie. How did Lloyd get more votes than these two ?
Lucie then sang A Moment A Time and surely the X Factor twins were out after she delivered a beautiful rendition of the Whitney Houston number. John and Edward chose to sing the song from the first X Factor Live Show, Rock DJ by Robbie Williams and gave their absolutely best performance so far. They seemed to just go out and have fun, did some self styled choregraphy and literally lept all about the stage, around the judges and even into the audience and whats more even managed to sing in tune, in time and with a smile on their faces.
To be fair neither of them deserved to go, but predictably Louis and Dannii saved their respective acts. Cheryl opted to save Lucie and it was left to Simon Cowell to deliver the knockout blow. Another Lucie save would have had the boys going home, but amazingly Simon decided to save Jedward and put the vote back into the public’s hands. Dermott opened the envelope and your heroes were saved for another week. Go Jedward.
The results show which ended with the shock eviction of Lucie Jones had begun with a group performance with the remaining contestants all on stage at the same time and then two guest performances by Leona Lewis and The Black Eyed Peas.
Leona Lewis was back where it all started for her just three years ago in the X Factor studio. Leona will be performing her new single ‘Happy’, ahead of the launch of her album ‘Echo’ on 16th November.
Sounding as stunning as ever and with more stage presence than she had in her days as a contestant, Leona wowed the Judges – Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh and the studio audience who went absolutely wild. Leona remembered her days as a contestant, recalling the nerves she felt every week as the results were announced. Also performing on Sunday night’s results show were The Black Eyed Peas, performing ‘Meet Me Halfway’.
