What drives the effectiveness of hosting a live webinar is that it has a certain element of entertainment, however that is not the only reason why they are so effective.
Webinars are one of the best types of events that you can conduct if you are looking for a way to capture the attention of your prospects. Many of us have businesses where a commercial does not do our product justice. An ad is not enough to get someone to buy from us. We need a way where we can get our prospect in front of a presentation and a webinar is one way to do that.
Another reason why a live webinar is so effective is due to the fact that it is interactive. You can engage both live and in real time with your audience. If I want to ask my audience a question, such as whether they can hear me, I can do so. They reply and I adapt based on their response. I can do this throughout the webinar and it is one of the few business tools where I can do this.
Polls are another great feature of webinars. I can make up any questions I want and poll my audience and then display the results to them immediately. This is a fun and interactive way to get your listeners involved and engaged during your webinar. As you conduct a poll you can actual see the percentage of your listeners who are participating in your poll. Sometimes I play up the poll by telling my listeners that I have responses from 53% of them and I am going to close the poll in about 10 seconds if they want to respond. It is amazing to see the results pour in. After I close the poll, I can then show the results to my listeners to make this even more interactive. All of this is of course in real time.
I run a business that sells information products online so I ask my customers what their challenges are in doing the same thing. Many of the more common challenges I hear on my live webinar deal with technology related issues, a need for more ideas, a lack of time and a lack of direction. By taking the time out to ask this question, I can cover how to address these challenges on my webinar. This makes my webinar more effective. It also gives me an idea as to where my audience is and how I can cater to them more specifically.
These are some great reasons why webinars are powerhouse events. I attribute the exponential growth in my business to webinars and would highly encourage you to check out the potential of these great events.
